A thousand apologies, but it seems my photoshop has officially corrupted itself. There will be no new biocards until I can figure out how to fix it.

“I neither know nor care who thought this was a good idea, but should point out that it isn’t.”
- Street smart
There were only a few people in Bethlem who knew about Adrian’s past, which was a little odd considering he was one of the friendliest, talkative people inside the place. It wasn’t a bad past either, he had been raised by two loving parents who had done their best to provide for him. He was closer to his mother as she helped push him through high school after his father fell ill, eventually dying a year short of Adrian graduating. Hospital bills were rough to pay and with Adrian starting college, it was difficult to keep the family up and running. Things only took a change for the worse when his mother got sick, prompting him to drop from college to take care of her full time as they had no money or insurance to pay for a nurse to do so. When he was twenty-six, she died, leaving Adrian alone.
After this, it left Adrian with little of a good future. He was out of money, out of school, and just unable to take care of himself. The first two years after she died were rough as he tried to steady himself while also preparing a funeral for her. Adrian had always been thankful for the small job inside a family owned resturant which had helped him get to his feet again enough that he had a house to live in, even if it was a crappy one. It kept him up for years until the family owned resturant cut him, giving plenty of room for Bethlem to offer a job to him specifically. It paid enough, offered him a place to sleep that was better than where he lived now - of course he accepted, though he was a bit naive to the things going on around him.
First his father fell sick and then he died, leaving behind a wife and child who had to fed for themselves. Adrian’s mother quickly raised to the challenge though, proving that she was perfectly capable of taking care of him and herself with the help of her husband. Adrian offered help whenever he could, but it was difficult while juggling school. It was far more painful for him after his mother died, having been extremely close to her and Adrian was lost without her for a while before he got to his feet with a lot of help from some family friends.

Name: Andy Bateman
Ability/Disorder: Memory Absorption: The user is able to absorb memories from others and use the knowledge within.
Status: patient, special
“For the Devil is a gentleman and doesn’t keep his word.”
Andy was abused growing up, his father an alcoholic and his mother did nothing to stop him, in fear of being hit herself. He discovered his power when he was eight, during one of his regular beatings. When his father went to hit him, Andy felt all of his father’s memories, and was quite literally eaten alive by it. He wouldn’t even brush shoulders with someone for fear of gathering painful and unpleasant memories such as those of his father’s. When he was 16, he ran away from home, in search of escape from his torturous childhood. He took a multitude of jobs, ranging from a waiter to a custodian.
When he was 35 he got work as a deck hand where he met his first true love. She was the exception to his rule of never touching anyone, seeing as all of her memories were pleasant ones. This was what made her so desirable. When he felt comfortable enough with her to tell her his power, she was revolted by the abnormality of it, and begged him to seek help. This is where his life at Bethlem began.
After the love of his life pleaded for him to find help, he sought out the counseling of a psychiatrist. The man he went to for help just so happened to be affiliated with Bethlem, and pointed him in their direction. He admitted himself into Bethlem, writing her for nearly two years before receiving a letter from her explaining that she no longer loved him. This devastated him, and pushed him into a clinical depression.

Name: Bethany Thompson
Ability/Disorder: Invisible, the ability to turn invisible on command. Staying invisible for lengths of time can either be very difficult or easy to the point you don’t realize you’re doing it. Does not turn clothes, items, or other people invisible.
Status: patient, special
“Now you see her, now you don’t.”
The youngest daughter in a family of six, it was rumored that Bethany was born with a permanent frown on her face. Though baby pictures proved that not to be the case, she still often got called Grumpybear. She always thought that was a domino effect, as the nickname annoyed her to no ends and would only spur more annoying taunts when she snapped at someone to knock it off. As shouting and getting angry didn’t work to the effect she wanted, Bethany retaliated in a different way: by becoming overly happy. No matter what someone said, she smiled brightly and laughed, though really she was thinking of sarcastic things to say in response. It worked rather well, no one could have called her Grumpybear again.
Her ability manifested once her attitude fell apart in middle school. Bethany was stuck invisible for three days, unable to figure out a way to get back to normal again for quite some time and once she was visible again, her parents forbade her from going anywhere, practically locking her in the house until she could learn to control herself. As the town seemed to think she was missing, nobody questioned why Bethany no longer came to school or why her mother dropped out of work to home-school her. Bethany finally put her foot down, demanding to be allowed physically go to college. She was allowed, but on the first day of school, Bethany was taken by the asylum, leaving her family to worry that she was invisible somewhere out of their reach.
The day her ability manifested, she was being taunted by another girl who hated the false cheery air around her. The girl shouted slurs and insults, trying to get her to snap - she did after a while, shoving the girl into a wall and shouting at her. The taunts and childish laughter followed. Wishing she could disappear on the spot, it was quite a shock to the school when she did exactly that. She turned invisible in front of a crowd of students who started screaming hysterically until the teachers managed to calm them down, staring in shock at the floating clothes Bethany stood in.
